Young Learner Centre

Many of the villages that we work with do not have functioning Anganwadi or early childhood education centres. Early childhood support in their home language is essential for children’s school readiness, especially for first generational learners from resource poor backgrounds. The centres are vibrant joyful spaces where children have a chance to engage in various activities such as theatre, puppetry, music, art and crafts, in order to learn and develop a love for learning. The 5 centres are run entirely in the home languages of the children so that in their early years they are introduced to learning in an accessible medium before transitioning to Assamese or Bodo.
